The house is located near the main entrance of Oprtalj, opposite to the Logia. From the house one has a magnificent view over the green surroundings. The old storage area under the house has been used to build a modern spa. In total there are five levels.

The living area is located at the third floor, but at the level of the little town square at the back of the house. A few steps bring you to a front terrace, where you find a table for six. This is a great place for a sunny breakfast or finding shade during a hot afternoon in the summer. There are separate doorbells for the spa (wellness), living room (salote) and bedrooms (tera, acqua, luce and fuoco).

The entrance door gives directly access to this level. There you first enter the hallway with staircase, dressing and toilet. After passing an antique wooden double door, you will arrive in the actual living room. In the first part there is the large modern open kitchen (fully equipped with large refrigerator – separate freeze -, dishwasher, gas-cooker (gas filling can be exchanged at many locations, a.o. Buje or Motovun), electrical oven, microwave).

An ‘aperitif corner’ (radio/CD with small library) completes the kitchen area. In the second part you will find an oak eating table for 8 people (4 extra seats are available) and a comfortable sitting area with leather sofa’s (2+3), plus a yellow fauteuil. Here the panoramic view over the area in front of the house, with the logia, vineyards and olive trees is dominantly present. The large sliding windows can be opened in such a way that the living seems to become an open terrace. There is a telephone, TV with satellite connection and DVD/CD installation. A small collection DVD film is available. Internet (Wifi) is available free of charge.

Spa: As mentioned above, on the first two levels there is the spa. The first floor is at street level. At this floor you can still see the original defence wall from the 12th century on which the house is built. Here is the relax area with minibar and dressing, as well as the technical room. At the second floor the actual spa is located. Here you find the small swimming pool with jet-stream, sauna, Jacuzzi, a massage mattress, foot bath and two showers, both with warm cuddle wall. There is an entrance hall accessible from the small square at the back of the house. A toilet completes the spa. The swimming pool has an average temperature of 27°C. The Jacuzzi (for 3 people) allows you to fully relax. The sauna (2 x 2 m) is for 4 people. Various body care products are available. The electrical massage mattress offers about 8 massage programs. A music installation with CD player completes the installation. All guests will receive a bathrobe and large towel, that can be used during their stay in the house.

The four bedroom are situated at the fourth and fifth level. They all have a name: ‘Terra’ and ‘Acqua’ on 4th level and ‘Fuoco’ and ‘Luce’ on 5th level. We have tried to create a specific atmosphere in each room considering these four basic elements: earth, water, fire and air. Each bedroom has a large double bed (two separate mattresses), small table and chair, reading light(s) and a bathroom with a shower (plastered with tadelact and equipped with a rain-shower), a washbasin and a toilet.

Whether you rent the complete house or just one room for the two of you, in any case you have the house to yourself, including living area, kitchen, spa (Jacuzzi, indoor pool, sauna) and terraces. Even if you are only two, we do not rent out the remaining bedrooms to others.
